Manufactured in strong materials such as ductile iron, cast steel, and stainless steel, these reducers combine mechanical strength with corrosion protection. The internal lining is available in PFA, FEP, PVDF, and PP, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial applications including chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, water treatment, and petrochemical installations. Available in sizes from ½″ to 24″ (DN 15–600), and pressure ratings of ANSI Class 150/300 or PN 10–25, they support operation in demanding environments with temperatures ranging from –40 °C to +230 °C.
Each PTFE Lined Eccentric Reducer is designed to conform to ASTM F1545, ASME B16.9, and ISO standards, ensuring consistent quality and safety. The reducers are vacuum-rated and can be supplied with virgin unpigmented liners for high-purity applications or anti-static liners to eliminate the risk of static discharge in volatile media systems. The flanged end connections comply with ASME B16.5 Class 150 and DIN dimensions, offering seamless integration into existing pipelines. What is a PTFE lined eccentric reducer and where is it used?
A reducer that changes line size while keeping one side flat, so the two bores share a tangent rather than a centreline. It is the reducer for horizontal runs: fitted flat-side-up it prevents gas or vapour pockets forming at the top of the line, and flat-side-down it lets the line drain completely instead of leaving liquid trapped at the step.
Which body, flange and lining materials are available?
Body in Ductile Iron GGG40.3 / ASTM A395, Cast Steel ASTM A216 Gr. WCB or ASTM A312 stainless. Flanges from IS 2062 plate, ASTM A105, CF8 (SS 304) or CF8M (SS 316). Lining in moulded FEP or PFA, with PVDF, PP and HDPE options, at a minimum 3.5 mm, 6.0 mm overall (±1.0 mm tolerance).
What sizes, flange standards and tests apply?
15 mm × 25 mm up to 200 mm × 250 mm, with larger sizes on request. Flange standard ANSI B16.5 / B16.42, face-to-face per ANSI B16.5 #150, dimensions in DIN PN10/16, BS 10, ASME 150/300 or mixed, with DIN 2632/2633 and BS 10 Table D, E, F drilling on request. Spark tested at 20 KVDC and hydraulically tested at 29 kg/cm² after lining.
Which way up should it be installed?
Flat side up on pump suction lines and anywhere vapour must not collect — this is the common case, and fitting it the wrong way round is a classic cause of pump cavitation. Flat side down where the line must drain fully, such as batch transfer lines that are emptied between runs. Mark the required orientation on the isometric, because once lagged the fitting is impossible to check.
