Diaphragm Valves

Diaphragm valves are the product line we have exported, and they remain what UK chemical, water and mining clients approach us for most often. The reason is structural — the diaphragm isolates the process media completely from the bonnet, stem and every moving component. Nothing in the working mechanism touches the fluid, which is exactly what corrosive, abrasive and viscous duties demand.

We manufacture to BS EN 13397:2002 (formerly BS 5156) in two principal body forms. The Weir Type (A Type) carries a raised weir that shortens diaphragm travel, giving better throttling control and longer diaphragm life. The Straight Through (KB Type) offers a full bore, unobstructed passage for viscous slurries and lines that must drain completely. Rubber lined, screwed end and sanitary variants are available, with manual, pneumatic (fail open, fail closed, double acting) and electric actuation.

The standard range runs 15 mm to 200 mm, with large-bore weir type PTFE lined valves manufactured up to DN 200 (8″) and DN 250 (10″). Bodies are supplied in:

Body lining options cover hard rubber (ebonite), natural, neoprene, hypalon, butyl and EPDM, plus PTFE, FEP, PFA, PVDF and polypropylene. Diaphragms are available in natural, neoprene, hypalon, butyl, EPDM, silicone and PTFE backed by neoprene or EPDM. The combination is specified against your media, temperature and cycle requirements rather than offered as a fixed catalogue item.

Every valve delivers Class VI bubble-tight shutoff, bi-directional operation and top-entry in-line serviceability, flanged to ANSI 150 or DIN. Typical applications include chlor-alkali plants, acid dosing systems and high-purity processes, and we supply spare weir and KB diaphragms separately for plants maintaining an installed base.

Ball Valves

Ball valves remain the default isolation choice across oil and gas, gas distribution and general process service. Our range covers single piece, two-piece, three piece, three-way (L and T port), four-way, wafer, trunnion mounted and forged steel designs — manufactured to API 6D, API 608, ASME B16.34, BS EN ISO 17292 and BS EN 1983, in Class 150 through Class 2500, with Class 800 on threaded ends.

Floating ball construction handles smaller bores economically, while trunnion mounting takes the seat load off the ball in larger sizes and higher classes, keeping operating torque manageable. Standard features across the range include fire-safe design, anti-static devices, blowout-proof stems, double block and bleed, and ISO 5211 actuator mounting pads — meaning pneumatic or electric actuators fit your automation specification without adapter fabrication. Three-piece bodies remain popular with UK maintenance teams because the centre section lifts out for seat replacement without disturbing the pipework.

Butterfly Valves

Butterfly valves earn their place wherever face-to-face dimension, weight and cost matter more than absolute tight shutoff at extreme pressure — which describes a large share of water utility, HVAC and general service lines. Plug Valves

Plug valves give quarter-turn, quick-acting shutoff with a straight-through flow path, which suits gas distribution, slurries and any service where solids would foul a seated design. We manufacture lubricated taper, PTFE sleeved and inverted plug valves, along with three-way and four-way configurations for diverting and mixing duties.

The PTFE sleeved design deserves particular attention for UK chemical service. The sleeve sits between plug and body, giving low operating torque and tight sealing without any lubricant entering the process stream — a real advantage where product contamination is a concern. Globe valves are built for regulation, with a disc-and-seat arrangement giving precise, repeatable flow control in exchange for higher pressure drop. Our range covers stainless steel, forged steel, DIN ND and control globe valves, with forged designs in Class 800 for small-bore steam, condensate and instrument lines common across British plants.

Knife Gate Valves

Knife gate valves exist because standard gate valves fail on media that ordinary seats cannot handle. The bevelled blade shears through slurries, fibrous suspensions and settled solids as it closes rather than jamming against them, which makes them the working choice in wastewater treatment, pulp and paper, mining and sugar processing.

We manufacture stainless steel, square port and pneumatically operated designs. Square port bodies handle bulk solids and dry powders where a circular bore would bridge and block, and the compact face-to-face dimension makes retrofit into existing plant considerably easier than a conventional gate valve of the same bore.

Strainers and Sight Glasses

Protecting pumps, meters, control valves and heat exchangers from debris is unglamorous work, but it decides how often a plant is opened for unplanned repair. Our range covers:
